Hallie's name came from a very insistent Ashley (before Lindsay Lohan was a tabloid trainwreck, she starred in a great remake of the movie "The Parent Trap" where her character's name was Hallie and obviously a fave of Miss D Girl). She was a licker – loved to lick your face, your hands, your feet, your shoes, anything yours. She was a great friend to my cousin's family in Sacramento and was my Uncle George's constant companion riding around in his truck with her ears flapping in the wind.
